The largest and greenest zoological park in the North, Zoo Santo Inácio, is preparing to be ‘invaded’ by more than 600 illuminated animal and plant figures. The immersive exhibition “Wild Lights ” is about to return for its 3rd edition.
Located in the Avintes area , in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, just a few minutes from Porto, this exhibition promises to turn evenings with the family, or even as a couple, into a different experience. The lights go on next November 15th at 16:30.
What can you expect from the Wild Lights?
This year, there are new features compared to previous editions. According to Zoo Santo Inácio, the initiative has “a different and bigger itinerary, with new attractions and interactive games, such as illuminated swings and seesaws”.
Along the illuminated route, you’ll also have the chance to see different wildlife scenes, learn more and take lots of photos to remember later.
The Wild Lights come on at 16:30 and go off at 20:30. However, the more ‘courageous’ can still visit the House of the Nocturnal Animals (home to bats and scorpions), or the Tropical World (with macaws and anacondas).
Until when can you visit the exhibition?
The immersive exhibition opens its doors to the public on November 15 and is expected to run until the end of February 2025.
According to the press release from Zoo Santo Inácio, the initiative will also be open on weekends, Portuguese and Spanish vacations and school vacations.
