Aceredo, o nome desta aldeia tem dado que falar não só em Portugal e Espanha, mas também noutros países. A seca severa que se faz sentir trouxe à tona esta povoação submersa, no concelho de Lobios, na província galega de Ourense.
Em 1992, devido à barragem do Alto Lindoso, Aceredo ‘desapareceu’ do mapa. Apesar dos protestos dos seus habitantes, a aldeia foi submergida. Desde então, houve alguns avistamentos. Mas nada se pode comparar aos registos que chegam agora até nós.
Um corrupio de turistas (e não só)
Com a água na Central Hidroelétrica do Alto Lindoso a atingir níveis mínimos, a aldeia de Aceredo transformou-se numa atração turística. Muitos são os curiosos que aí afluem para tirar fotografias e percorrer este ‘território fantasma’.
As imagens mostram uma aldeia congelada no tempo. As antigas casas e o bar estão à vista de todos, mas não só. Grades de cerveja, estilhaços de vidros e até um carro são testemunhos de uma vida de outros tempos; uma vida que foi suspensa pela água.
Aldeia fantasma nas bocas do mundo
Este cenário digno de um filme, ou palco de guerra não está a atrair apenas turistas. As notícias da seca na Península Ibérica e, em particular, da redescoberta de Aceredo ecoam em vários media internacionais.
No Reino Unido, Alemanha e Lituânia, apenas para citar alguns, chegam relatos de Aceredo. Mas as imagens desta aldeia fantasma saltaram as fronteiras do ‘Velho Continente’. Na Austrália, através da ABC, as imagens da povoação galega tiveram repercussão.
Em anos especialmente secos, partes da antiga aldeia de Aceredo poderiam aparecer. (…) Mas nunca antes o esqueleto da aldeia emergiu na sua totalidade no meio do inverno”, lê-se no The Sun.
Aceredo existe, mas nunca voltará a ser como antes
A aldeia foi submersa pela água, mas chegou a ter dezenas de casas e de habitantes. Hoje, e segundo o jornal La Voz de Galicia, Aceredo ainda existe nas imediações, com 23 habitantes recenseados. Contudo, dos outros tempos ficaram apenas as recordações.
Era o melhor sítio do Baixo Lima. Todos os domingos vinha gente a pé das zonas em redor”, conta ao La Voz de Galicia, Domingo González, antigo morador de O Bao (outra aldeia submersa, localizada perto de Aceredo).
Da Aceredo doutros tempos nada sobra; apenas as memórias e as ruínas perdidas, que a seca deixou agora vislumbrar!
