When the sun goes down, Zoo Santo Inácio, the largest and greenest zoological park in the north of Portugal, promises to become the magical setting for a true luminous odyssey. Among colors, sparkles and shapes, the 4th edition of the immersive exhibition “Wild Lights” has already set a date for its return.
From November 1 to February 28, the zoo in Vila Nova de Gaia will host more than 600 luminous figures, including penguins, lions, giraffes, turtles, fish and much more. What’s more, this year there’s something new in store for you: dinosaurs are joining the party.
In addition to the various animals and plants that make up this light show, the presence of dinosaurs adds a historical and scientific dimension to the route, transforming the visit into a journey through time,” says Teresa Guedes, director of Zoo Santo Inácio, in a press release sent to Porto Secreto.
What to expect from “Wild Lights”?
This immersive exhibition is (almost) a winter classic on the leisure and entertainment agenda in Greater Porto. On its way to its 4th edition, this visual and sensory spectacle with a route of over a kilometer promises to surprise the whole family.
There, you’ll find the House of the Nocturnal Animals and the Tropical World, as well as leisure areas for all visitors.
In fact, this is a very Instagrammable experience, so get ready to take lots of photos to remember it by later. The route also includes interactive games and illuminated swings.
