With the arrival of summer there are many outdoor activities all over the city of Porto and its surroundings, including the hiking and free yoga, tai-chi and pilates classes. In this sense, the latest news is the return of the program “Bat Nights”.
Promoted by the Porto City Council,, this initiative is aimed at the whole family and aims to give people a closer look at bats and their fundamental role in the ecosystem. Between June 28 and September 6, you can embark on a night observation.
According to the Porto City Council news portal, a total of ten sessions are planned, in different gardens and green spaces around the city. In addition, this year there are two new sites included in the itinerary, namely the Alameda de Cartes Park and the Horta da Oliveira.
All the dates of the “Bat Nights”

The “Nights of the Bats” will take place in different ven ues, and these are the locations and dates planned:
- june 28 – Alameda de Cartes Park / Olive Tree Time, at 20h45
- july 5th – Quinta do Covelo, at 20h45
- july 12th – Oriental Park, at 20h45
- july 19th – São Roque Park at 20:30
- july 26th – City Park, 8:30pm
- august 2nd – Municipal Nursery, at 20h15
- august 9th – Crystal Palace at 20h15
- august 25th – Parque da Asprela, at 20h00
- august 30th – Horto das Virtudes, at 7:30 p.m
- september 6th – Jardim do Passeio Alegre, at 21h00
