Fuel prices and the cost of living remain high, so some people are avoiding long car trips to minimize expenses. In this context, it’s normal that some Portuguese people aren’t even thinking about getaways, but for those who miss traveling or want a change of scenery—there’s a special (and limited) promotion from CP – Comboios de Portugal.
The ‘Promo+’ campaign offers discounts of up to 80% on Alfa Pendular train tickets purchased between April 22 and May 6. In total, the promotion is limited to 5,000 seats , in both Comfort and Tourist classes , for travel between May 1 and May 15.
Lisbon and Porto for €7.50
‘Promo+’ tickets allow you to travel between Lisbon and Porto for €7.50, or from Porto to Faro for €12.50. In fact, the Alfa Pendular service connects some of the country’s major cities, including Lisbon, Porto, Braga, Coimbra, and Faro, so it’s best to check the current prices with the discount applied.
However, please note: ‘Promo+’ trips can only be purchased through CP – Comboios de Portugal’s digital channels, namely its website or official app.
In addition, it is important to note that tickets must be purchased at least ten days in advance, and the offer is limited to the total number of seats reserved for this promotion.
