September is synonymous with returning to routine, work and classes. But that doesn’t mean you have to embrace a sedentary lifestyle. The municipal initiative “Days with Energy” proposes precisely the opposite, inviting all those interested to practice outdoor training.
Until the end of the month, five green spaces in Porto are hosting workout sessions pilates, yoga, tai chi and the Rose method, always at weekends.
The classes are free, but require prior registration. We’ll talk about that in a moment. For now, it’s worth taking a look at the schedule.
When and where does outdoor training take place?
According to the website of the municipal company Ágora, the free sessions take place at the following locations and times:
Saturdays
- Palácio de Cristal Gardens: pilates (9h00); yoga (10h00) or tai chi (11h00)
- Parque da Pasteleira: tai chi (9h30) and yoga (11h00)
- Parque Oriental: yoga (9h30) and pilates (11h00)
- Parque do Covelo: pilates (9h00) and yoga (10h00)
Sundays
- City Park: tai chi (9:30 a.m.) and Rose method (11:00 a.m.)
How can you take part?
Despite the fact that they are free, these outdoor training sessions require prior registration, which must be formalized by 5:30 p.m. each Friday.
To do this, simply send a message by email to desporto@agoraporto.en, indicating the name of the participant and the specific session desired.
