The wait for summer 2026 has already begun, and northern Portugal is preparing to once again host one of the most eagerly awaited events for music fans, Primavera Sound Porto, which returns to Parque da Cidade from June 11 to 14, establishing itself as the ideal destination for those looking for an authentic festival in a unique setting where the Atlantic breeze adds the finishing touch to the experience.
Primavera Sound Porto has long since ceased to be seen as the “little brother” of the Barcelona festival. Therefore, in 2026, the 13th edition in Portugal will reinforce its own identity, with a bold lineup that will transform Parque da Cidade do Porto into the center ofEuropean music this summer.
On the vast lawns of the country’s largest urban park, the event once again stands out for its exclusivity: several of the confirmed artists will only be performing in Invicta, making the trip to northern Portugal unmissable for true music enthusiasts.
Where will the big stars perform?

The organizers have already revealed how the artists will be distributed over the four days of the Primavera Sound Porto Festival, allowing you to strategically plan your stay in the city.
- June 11 (Thursday)
- The historic return of The XX marks the first day, accompanied by the contemporary folk of Big Thief, the phenomenon Ethel Cain, and the raw energy of KNEECAP, among others.
- June 12 (Friday)
- Gorillaz bring their new visual universe to the main stage. The day also features Slowdive’s shoegaze , the irreverence of Viagra Boys, and the magnetism of Bad Gyal, among others.
- June 13 (Saturday)
- The legendary Massive Attack lead a day of intensity, sharing the bill with the urgent punk of IDLES, as well as Dijon and Jade, among others.
- June 14 (Sunday)
- The closing day transforms the park into a luxury dance floor with “Party Day,” headlined by Peggy Gou, Dixon, Portugal’s Xinobi, and SuM.

The highlight of this edition is its exclusivity, with bands such as Black Country, New Road, Model/Actriz, Nation of Language, and Triángulo de Amor Bizarro choosing Porto as their only stop in Portugal, leaving out other festivals in the Iberian Peninsula.
In addition, the festival is also an excellent opportunity to celebrate “home-grown talent” in a luxurious setting, with national talent in the spotlight through names such as Capicua, Gisela João, PAUS, Rita Vian, and the collaborative project MXGPU (Moullinex & GPU Panic), creating a balanced fusion between the best of what is done here and abroad.
The festival… and the city

When you choose Primavera Sound Porto, you are also choosing a city that has repeatedly been recognized as one of the best tourist destinations in the world, thanks to its heritage, cuisine, and cultural offerings.
If you come from Lisbon by car, you’ll reach Porto in just over three hours; by plane, the trip takes about an hour, with the advantage of being able to count on a transport network that connects the airport directly to the city center and the festival grounds.
When it comes to the Invicta experience, unlike more isolated festivals, here you can enjoy the morning savoring the cuisine in Ribeira or taking a stroll through Foz, then entering the City Park in time for the first concerts of the afternoon.
