In various colors and shapes, more than 106,000 tulips transform Porto’s flowerbeds, gardens and green spaces into a real living picture, in a kind of early celebration of spring.
As in previous years, the planting of tulips all over the city is already a kind of spring ‘tradition’, thanks to the work of the Municipal Nursery, resulting in a unique setting in the urban environment.
This natural spectacle is the result of the work of the municipal gardeners (…). From the choice of varieties to their flowering, each stage is carefully monitored to ensure that the city blooms at the right time,” reads the Porto City Council news portal.
