Depois da primeira superlua do ano ter brilhado no dia 3 de julho, com a chegada de agosto será possível voltar a contemplar a beleza deste fenómenos astronómico. De facto, este mês há não uma, mas sim duas superluas para admirar.
Segundo o Jornal de Notícias, a primeira superlua vai estar visível já na primeira noite do mês, a 1 de agosto, estando a apenas 357.530 km de distância da Terra.
Já a segunda superlua estará a 357.344 km, brilhando com intensidade na noite de 30 de agosto, sendo chamada de “lua azul”.
O que é uma superlua?
Geralmente, as superluas parecem ligeiramente maiores e mais brilhantes do que as habituais. No entanto, este termo ganhou especial relevância num artigo publicado, em 1979, pelo astrólogo americano Richard Nolle.
Na altura, a palavra superlua foi usada para descrever o momento em que a órbita do satélite está mais próxima do planeta Terra.
A última vez que duas superluas apareceram
De acordo com informações do site Porto Canal, a última vez que se verificou um fenómeno raro como este foi em 2018. Nessa altura, duas superluas completas apareceram no céu no mesmo mês.
No entanto, prevê-se que o acontecimento se volte a repetir apenas em 2037, depois da ocorrência do fenómeno deste mês.
