Over in Gaia, nestled among the Port wine cellars and with the Douro River stretching out before it, a night with a different accent is in the works: that of Birmingham. “Candlelight: Peaky Blinders” is coming to Porto, and the venue chosen is the Hilton Porto Gaia.
Candlelight’s repertoire continues to grow. After *Bridgerton*, *The Lord of the Rings*, and *Outlander*, it’s now the Shelby family’s turn.
Created by Steven Knight, *Peaky Blinders* is a BBC drama series that aired from 2013 to 2022. Over the course of six seasons, with Tommy as the protagonist, the story follows the Shelby family in 1920s Birmingham, an English industrial city struggling to recover from the effects of World War I. In 2026, the story returned with the film *The Immortal Man*.
Two must-hear tracks have been confirmed for the setlist: “Red Right Hand” by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds—the iconic opening theme—and “Do I Wanna Know?” by the Arctic Monkeys. The concert will last about an hour, in an intimate setting illuminated by thousands of candles.
There is no mandatory dress code. But if your beret, three-piece suit, or tweed vest has been waiting for an opportunity, this is the one.
