Can you imagine sitting at a table and watching a tiny chef cook right in front of you, amid ingredients that appear and disappear on the tablecloth? That’s what Le Petit Chef is bringing to Porto starting November 13, in an exclusive partnership with the Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel, located at Rua de Cervantes, 169.
The concept is already present in more than 45 countries and 157 cities, including Lisbon and Lagos. In Porto, the experience takes place on Fridays at 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and lasts about two hours.
How does the dinner work?

When guests take their seats, projection mapping transforms the table’s surface into a small three-dimensional stage. Le Petit Chef interacts with the ingredients and takes center stage in a scene before each course of the meal. The Belgian art collective Skullmapping created the concept by exploring the projection of images onto real surfaces.
