It was in 2001 that Porto took on the title of European Capital of Culture, and music played a central role in the program at that time. Twenty-five years later, the Porto City Council is once again highlighting the music scene in the official celebrations with a concert on Friday, November 6, at 9 p.m., at the Coliseu Porto Ageas.
The show is titled “Canções de Granito – 25 Years of Porto as European Capital of Culture” and is a co-production of the Porto City Council and the Coliseu.
Four artists, one city in song

On stage will be Pedro Abrunhosa, GNR, Três Tristes Tigres, and Pedro Burmester. Each was given a challenge: to choose the songs they most associate with Porto—from a wide variety of artists—and perform their own versions of them.
DJ Pedro Tenreiro and VJ João Parra will join the musicians. The setlist consists of songs “carved” into the city’s stone, as the organizers put it, in a tribute to the experiences of 2001.
📍Where: Rua de Passos Manuel, 137
⏰When: November 6, at 9 p.m.
