In three days, The Yeatman in Vila Nova de Gaia will transform from just a hotel and restaurant into a journey through tasting stations. The third edition of Taste & Toast Fest takes place on Friday, November 6, from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with seasonal ingredients at the heart of every dish.
The host, Chef Ricardo Costa, has invited renowned chefs from the national and international culinary scenes. Each will bring a dish of their own creation and cook it live, so anyone passing by the stations can see up close how the recipe takes shape.
Who’s in the kitchen

The lineup brings together a variety of backgrounds and styles:
- Dieter Koschina, the Austrian chef at Vila Joya, holder of two Michelin stars.
- Pepe Vieira, a Galician chef with two Michelin stars.
- Pedro Lemos, a Michelin-starred chef. Pepe Vieira and Pedro Lemos run restaurants that bear their names.
- Paulo Morais, a pioneer of Japanese cuisine in Portugal and head chef at Kanazawa, which also holds a Michelin star.
- Michele Marques, from Mercearia Gadanha in Estremoz.
- Milton Ferreira, chef at The Vintage House Hotel and Casa das Pipas Restaurant.
- Ricardo Nogueira, from Mugasa, known for his connection to the Bairrada suckling pig tradition.
- Desserts are the responsibility of Francisco Siopa, Executive Pastry Chef at Penha Longa Resort, renowned for his work with chocolate.
Portuguese wines to pair with the meal
Throughout the evening, a selection of Portuguese wines will accompany the offerings at each station, chosen to pair perfectly with the dishes. You can move through the hotel’s various spaces at your own pace and compare how each cuisine interacts with its accompanying wine.
The event will take place at The Yeatman Hotel in Porto. Tickets cost €170 per person and are available on the event’s official website.
