Attention, sweet tooths! Although Easter is still some time away, you can already start sampling a wide variety of flavors at the Matosinhos Chocolate Festival, taking place from February 7 to 22, with free admission.
As in previous editions, there will be a variety of exhibitors offering bonbons, bars, brigadeiros, bombocas, and, of course, hot chocolate to help you forget the cold weather.
According to the officialwebsite of the National Association for the Development of Handicrafts – Andarte, the Chocolate Festival will take place next to the Florbela Espanca Library in the city of Matosinhos.

To date, not all the details of the 2026 edition of this gastronomic initiative have been revealed. Even so, we would like to share the official opening hours:
- Monday to Thursday, from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Fridays, from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to midnight
- Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Last Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In previous years, the program always included other activities, such as workshops and show cooking sessions .
