After a debut that earned it the “Best New Festival” award at the Iberian Festival Awards, the Bloom Festival returns to Maia Aerodrome on September 18 and 19, 2026. The airstrip is once again transformed into a dance floor and, for the first time, also into a place to sleep, with the new Bloom Village glamping area.
An airstrip transformed into a dance floor
The Bloom Festival is back. At an active airfield, just a few minutes from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, Maia Airfield is once again transforming into one of the most unexpected and striking settings for electronic music in Portugal: a runway converted into a dance floor. After a debut that made its mark on the national calendar and earned the festival the “Best New Festival” award at the Iberian Festival Awards, Bloom returns for its 2026 edition with a more ambitious, more immersive experience designed to go beyond music.
More than 40 artists and 35 hours of music
Taking place in the final days of summer, the festival serves as a grand finale to the season. In 2026, Bloom will feature more than 40 artists, including 15 international headliners, in a lineup with over 35 hours of music spread across two stages. The curation brings together leading names from the global electronic music scene with Portuguese artists, creating a sonic journey through different styles, atmospheres, and dance-floor moments.
Bloom Sunrise, the festival’s signature moment
One of the signature moments of this edition will be Bloom Sunrise, designed to turn the sunrise into one of the festival’s most symbolic moments. Between Bloom Village and Bloom Sunrise, the festival offers something virtually unparalleled on the international circuit: the chance to experience glamping, electronic music, and sunrise within an active airfield.
Bloom Village: four days inside the festival grounds
The big news for this edition is Bloom Village, a new exclusive glamping area integrated into the festival grounds, allowing visitors to spend the night within the space where, on festival days, the airstrip once again transforms into a dance floor. This year, the experience begins before and ends after the main festival days: Bloom Village runs from September 17 to 21, Thursday through Monday, under the theme “Four Days, One Runway.”
The experience kicks off with a private Welcome Party, exclusively for the so-called Village Bloomers, on the evening of September 17. Over the course of four days, the Village will feature glamping tents, lounge areas for relaxation and socializing, a Breakfast & Food Zone with breakfast and dining options, changing rooms and showers within the private area, and 24-hour security throughout the event. In addition to the festival’s main lineup of DJ sets, Village Bloomers will also have access to their own program and exclusive activities.
What else you’ll find at the venue
The venue will also feature lifestyle zones, a food court, a cocktail corner, a wine corner, the Bloom Art Corner, and the Bloom Market, bringing together music, art, brands, creators, cuisine, and relaxation areas all in one place. At Maia Aerodrome, Bloom is built around the idea of movement: arriving, landing, meeting, dancing, and leaving a different person.
