After a spectacular edition of Primavera Sound Porto, there’s another big festival that promises to excite the people of Porto and beyond this weekend, from July 18 to 20 – MEO Marés Vivas. And STCP – Serviços de Transportes Colectivos do Porto will be providing a special service with a free shuttle.
In a press release sent to Porto Secreto, STCP said that during the three days of the event, festival-goers can count on a dedicated, free shuttle service, with the support of Via Verde. But let’s find out more about this service, shall we?

The timetable for the free shuttle
One of the most convenient and efficient ways to get to the Old Madalena Campsite in Vila Nova de Gaia is by public transport.
So, if you’re thinking of going to MEO Marés Vivas, you should know that the free shuttle starts at Trindade (downtown Porto) and includes several strategic stops, such as São Bento, General Torres and Quinta do Fojo, among others.

According to the STCP press release, these are the times and frequencies available on the special service:
- 16h-22h: 25-minute frequency, only in the Trindade → Festival direction
- 10pm-2am: 12-minute interval, with service in both directions
- 2 a.m.-4 p.m.: ten-minute frequency, only in the Festival → Trindade direction
