During this World Cup month, specifically from June 11 to July 19, Vila Nova de Gaia will host the Betano Fan Zone “Believing Makes It Happen.” It is a large, free space that has everything needed to bring together thousands of fans each day to watch the big games of this World Cup. It is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Gaia, the Medialivre Group, and Betano, which serves as the naming sponsor of the space while also acting as an Official Supporter of the 2026 FIFA World Cup™.
It is the largest Fan Zone in Northern Portugal and the only one with the official FIFA seal in the country. Throughout the tournament, the venue will function as a true outdoor festival, featuring a giant screen broadcasting more than 60 World Cup matches live, including, of course, all of the Portuguese National Team’s matches.
Although admission is free, access is subject to venue capacity in order to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all visitors.
Gaia, the stage of the North
Set to kick off on June 11, the Betano Fan Zone “Believing Makes It Happen” promises to be the meeting place for anyone who wants to experience the 2026 World Cup in style in Gaia.
