The general strike called for this Thursday, December 11, will affect various services, such as STCP buses, but also the normal operation of Metro do Porto.
Metro do Porto’s official website states that the last departures on the entire network will take place this Wednesday, between 10pm and 11pm.
On the day of the strike called by the CGTP (Confederação Geral dos Trabalhadores Portugueses – Intersindical Nacional) and UGT (União Geral de Trabalhadores), only the Yellow Line (D) is scheduled to operate:
- Between Hospital de São João and Santo Ovídio stations
- And between Campanhã and Senhora da Hora

In the cases mentioned above, Metro do Porto provides two vehicles per hour and per direction, from 6am to 1am, with a reinforcement of two more vehicles per hour and per direction between 7am and 8pm.
According to information from Metro do Porto, there is no service on the Blue (A), Red (B), Green (C), Violet (E) and Orange (F) lines.
In addition, the alternative transport service is not guaranteed, and normal circulation will only be resumed from 6am on Friday, December 12.
