There’s a new hotspot in the heart of Porto. It’s called Glória, the latest venture from the Nicolau Group, and it has already opened its doors on Largo Alberto Pimentel, combining Portuguese cuisine, creative cocktails, and great music in an experience designed to be shared among friends.
An evening designed to be unhurried

More than just a restaurant—and different from the brunch concept the Nicolau Group has come to be known for— Glória is a space designed to extend the evening, featuring dishes to share, cocktails, and music that gradually fills the room. Breaking away from traditional formats, it offers an intimate and relaxed experience where the comfort of a welcoming environment blends with a vibrant, luminous atmosphere.
Designed to bring people together around the table and encourage a leisurely pace, Glória also stands out for unexpected details, such as a pole installed in the restroom, which invites the more daring to join in the fun to the beat of the music. An irreverent touch that reflects the venue’s personality and reinforces its mission to create memorable moments among friends.
The menu, curated by William Blake and Vasco Mesquita
Glória’s menu, created by chefs William Blake and Vasco Mesquita, celebrates the richness of Portuguese flavors through a relaxed yet distinctive approach.
Appetizers: CheekCroquettes (€12) and Aged Beef Bikini (€12)
Main courses: Celery à la Brás (€20), Pil-Pil Hake (€22), Guia-Style Chicken (€20), and Baked Rice with Stuffed Squid (€28)
Desserts: Farófias with ice cream, Drunken Pear and Tonka Bean (€8), Chocolate Tart with Apricot (€9), and the famous Glória (€8)
The wine list has also been carefully curated, featuring both well-known selections and more daring choices.
A place to linger
“With Glória, we wanted to create a relaxed space where people feel at home and can extend their evening in a laid-back way, with good food, good cocktails, and good music,” say Bárbara Pinto, Bernardo Mesquita, and Miguel Passos, co-founders of the Nicolau Group.
Located in the heart of Porto, Glória is establishing itself as a new meeting spot in the city, where dinner naturally flows into music and cocktails. The invitation is simple: come for dinner and end up staying.
