After Kristin, and as the Leonardo depression approaches, it is important not only to pay attention to warnings from the competent authorities, but also to the advice of the authorities. In this regard, the National Republican Guard (GNR) has alerted the population to the need to prepare an emergency kit.
The idea is that with the appropriate medicines and food, among other items, any citizen will be able to have access to basic items for up to 72 hours. The goal is thus to be prepared to face any constraints, whether storms and/or other unexpected situations caused by bad weather.
How to prepare an emergency kit?

According to information shared on the GNR’s official Instagram account, these are some essential items to include in an emergency kit:
- Water and non-perishable food for three days
- Garbage bags
- Flashlight, radio, batteries, and power bank
- Personal hygiene items
- First aid kit
- Essential medicines
- Whistle, pocket knife, money, and map
- Clothing, blankets, and sturdy footwear
- Copies of important documents in a waterproof bag.
It is also recommended to follow official communications from the competent authorities to mitigate risks.
