A boat on the Douro River turns into a haunted house for 2 hours: the October 31 party costs €29 and cruises under Porto’s bridges

This year, Halloween in Porto can be celebrated on the water. On the night of October 31, a boat transformed into a floating haunted house will cruise the Douro River for two hours, featuring a DJ, a masked crew, and the city’s illuminated skyline as a backdrop.

The event is called “The Fear Cruise, ” the Halloween edition of Living Tours’ Party Boat. Capacity is limited, and tickets are already on sale.

Upon arrival at the pier, the masked crew welcomes passengers. Inside, a DJ sets the mood for the trip and encourages everyone to dance and show off their costumes. The atmosphere is perfect for both groups of friends and those looking to meet new people.

The route takes in the waterfronts of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, the Port wine cellars, and the bridges connecting the two cities. It’s a way to see the region’s most famous scenery at a different pace, a far cry from the usual Halloween events.
