It’s called “O Mercado Bom Sucesso vai a jogo” (The Bom Sucesso Market is in the Game), and that’s how the venue near the Boavista Roundabout has decided to join the 2026 World Cup festivities. Between June 11 and July 19, the Market will feature a dedicated fan zone, complete with a giant screen and a lounge area designed for comfortably watching the games, whether Portugal is playing or not.
Throughout the tournament, 30 matches will be broadcast live—that is, all matches taking place during the venue’s operating hours. Portugal’s first two matches promise to be special: the opener against Congo on June 17 and the match against Uzbekistan on June 23, both at 6:00 p.m.
On the day of the national team’s debut, a caricaturist will be at the Market from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to sketch visitors and fans, with soccer-themed giveaways. On June 23, the match against Uzbekistan coincides with São João, so the Market will celebrate the occasion with gifts alluding to the popular festival—from hammers to basil plants— bringing together soccer and Porto tradition in a single night.
This year’s World Cup sticker album is more popular than ever, so for those who find themselves on the hunt for stickers, the fan zone also has an area dedicated to trading duplicates every Saturday until the end of the tournament.
And what about food?
With the games as an excuse, Mercado Bom Sucesso invites you to also enjoy its culinary offerings, spread across 50 concepts. Among the Portuguese flavors, highlights include Santa Bifana, Forno do Leitão do Zé, Flor de Sal, and Mariscaria; among the world cuisines, standouts include Las Muns, Kōkan Asian Cuisine, and Aguacate Tex Mex. To accompany your meal, Beer Kingdom offers craft beers from various regions, perfect for toasting every goal.
