O summer is synonymous with vacations for many, but for those staying in the city of Porto and/or the surrounding area, it’s also a good time to enjoy many free cultural activities. For example, the “Music in Jardim do Morro” cycle is an option to consider… and it’s just around the corner.
Organized by the Vila Nova de Gaia City Council (CMVNG), this initiative is back for another edition. For four weekends, Jardim do Morro will be transformed into a true open-air stage, with great national names in music and entertainment.

According to a press release from CMVNG, the free musical cycle kicks off this weekend, July 13, at 9:30 p.m., with a concert by the well-known singer-songwriter Márcia. But let’s take a look at the rest of the program:
- July 20, jazz show for families, at 6pm
- July 26, performance by Pluto, at 9:30 p.m.
- August 3, performance by DJ Tikinho, at 7:30 p.m.
- August 3rd, Mind da Gap concert, at 21h30.
About the initiative
“Música no Jardim do Morro” first appeared in 2017. Since then, names such as Blind Zero, Virgul, David Bruno, Carlão, Linda Martini, Capicua and Ana Bacalhau, among others, have played here.
