The Greater Porto area will have three Primark stores starting November 19. This is because the brand recently announced the opening of a new location at GaiaShopping, in a space with more than 3,000 square meters of retail space.
The news strengthens the Irish clothing brand’s presence in the Porto region, where it already has stores at NorteShopping in Matosinhos and at Parque Nascente in Gondomar. In addition, the Primark store in downtown Porto, in the Palladium Building—which housed FNAC for many years—is expected to open by the summer of 2027.
What to expect from the new Primark in Gaia?
The new Primark store will occupy a single floor, offering items from various categories, but primarily: fashion, beauty, home decor, and everyday essentials.
Since the opening will coincide with the approach of the holiday season, you’ll be able to find fall/winter collections, gift ideas, and even decorative items for the festive season.
A total of 16 stores and an investment of 45 million euros
The store in Vila Nova de Gaia will be the low-cost clothing brand’s 16th in Portugal, as part of a 45-million-euro expansion and investment program announced by Primark for the country.
