One of Portugal’s cutest characters is returning to Greater Porto this summer. So, parents and kids, pay attention. The 18th edition of the Panda Festival will be touring the country from north to south. And the city of Maia, right next door, has not been left out of the itinerary.
More specifically, the Dr. José Vieira de Carvalho Municipal Stadium, in the municipality of Maia, has been chosen as the stage for an initiative full of music, entertainment and moments of great fun for the whole family, taking place on July 26 and 27.

“We all have superpowers”
The theme of this year’s Panda Festival is “We all have superpowers”. However, they are not the ones that Marvel superheroes or animated films have accustomed us to. After all, who needs to know how to fly if you have empathy, sharing and self-confidence?
In this context, some of the favorite characters of the youngest in the house promise to teach the secret to achieving these superpowers to the full. As such, Doraemon, Pocoyo and L.O.L will be present at the Panda Festival with music, dancing and games.

From North to South with the Panda Festival
As in previous editions, Portugal’s biggest children’s event will tour cities from North to South. And this is the initiative’s calendar:
- June 14, Albufeira
- June 27-29, Parque dos Poetas, in Oeiras
- July 26 and 27, in Maia
