Porto Puppet Museum
The museums don’t necessarily have to be ‘boring’ and the proof of this is that more and more new interactive and dynamic spaces are appearing. Even so, there are ‘traditional’ spaces where it’s always worth taking the children, such as the Porto Puppet Museum.
Around here, children will have the chance to learn more about this art form and more. At the same time, the space offers themed and educational workshops, with the aim of involving youngsters in the incredible world of puppets.

SEA LIFE Porto
SEA LIFE is the second largest aquarium in Portugal, with more than 3,000 species of animals that promise to delight the youngest visitors.
There are penguins, but also rays and impressive giant turtles. There are a total of 31 aquatic habitats, with several schools of fish, starfish and jellyfish to admire.

Another World
This is another space that recently opened in the city of Porto. Although suitable for team building e birthday parties it’s also a place for families to consider.
In other words, you can take the little ones around the house to experience the wonders of virtual reality.
For example, Another World has Ghost Mansion, an abandoned mansion full of ghosts, a game aimed at players aged six to 12.

Porto Planetarium
O Porto Planetarium is one of the places that promises to leave the kids literally in the stars.
If you plan your visit in advance, there are plenty of activities and special programs waiting for the whole family.

Minigolf Porto, indoorcircuit
With the arrival of cold weather and rainy days fun is guaranteed in indoorspaces such as the Minigolf Porto.
This is a new space, which has only recently opened, with a indoor minigolf circuit games area, pool and field hockey tables. It’s worth it for a different evening out with the family!

World of Discoveries Interactive Museum
This is an interesting program for the whole family. At the World of Discoveries you can discover the world through the eyes of Portugal’s greatest explorers.
A different experience in a themed museum with 20 interactive and multi-sensory installations.

Foz Minigolf
This is an excellent alternative for those who like to enjoy the outdoors.
You can take the children from home to enjoy a unique afternoon playing Minigolf, next to Foz do Douro, with lots of laughs in store!

Living Van Gogh, an immersive exhibition
Do you want to wear the skin of Van Gogh for one day? In Oporto Customs House it’s possible! Making its debut in Portugal, this immersive exhibition has many attractions for people of all ages.
For over an hour, you’ll find 360º three-dimensional paintings, giant sunflowers, light effects and various interactive installations.

Saint Ignatius Zoo
Visit the Santo Inácio Zoo, in Vila Nova de Gaia, is another of the things you can do with children in Porto and/or the surrounding area.
With more than 600 animals of 200 species, Zoo Santo Inácio opened its doors in 2000 with the aim of bringing the community closer to nature and wildlife.

JumpYard
Known as a trampoline paradise, JumpYard is operating at the matosinhos area since early fall. With around 3500 m2, this is a space that promises to please not only kids, but adults too.
There are dozens of trampolines, an artificial turf pitch for soccer matches and a KidZone with a covered area of 2000 m2. This last area, in particular, is aimed at children up to the age of 8, and includes slides, a ball pool and tunnels, among other amusements.

Mysterious Egypt
This is one of the most interesting and educational activities to do in Porto. With the quality seal of the Ocubo atelier, the “Mysterious Egypt” allows you to travel back in time to the ancient Egyptian civilization.
It’s an immersive experience full of relevant knowledge. In a veritable spectacle of lights and colors, children (and adults) will love learning more:
- The discovery of Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s treasure;
- The enigma of the construction of the Pyramids of Giza;
- The inscription on the Rosetta Stone, among other mysteries.

3D Fun Art Museum
After Funchal, Lisbon and Portimão, the 3D Fun Art Museum has finally opened its doors in Porto. Since December, you can visit this new museum in three dimensions.
You won’t find famous works of art there, but you will find a lot of fun. With several rooms and more than 40 different scenarios, at the 3D Fun Art Museum nothing is what it seems: you can climb a wall or become a superhero!
