
June has only just arrived, but its packed agenda has already made itself felt. For motor enthusiasts, on June 5, between 7pm and 9pm, RallySpirit will once again parade through the streets of Invicta.
Included in the calendar of the Portuguese Automobile and Karting Federation, the 10th edition of the event will see the participation of one hundred historic vehicles built from the 1970s to the 2000s.
Promoted by X Racing, which is organizing the initiative with the support of Porto City Council (through Ágora), this sort of ‘open-air museum’ will feature several models, such as:
- Ford Escort MKI
- Lancia 037
- Austin Cooper S
- Vauxhall Chevette HSR, among others.

The RallySpirit route
According to Ágora’swebsite, the historic models will arrive at Avenida de D. Carlos I between 11.30am and 5pm, and the departure is scheduled for Jardim das Sobreiras towards Vila Nova de Gaia.
On the following days, June 6 and 7, the RallySpirit will pass through various municipalities such as Barcelos, Santo Tirso, Esposende and Terras de Bouro. However, you can check out the official route here.
Traffic restrictions
In a press release to which Porto Secreto has had access, Porto City Council informs that some traffic restrictions are planned , with the aim of guaranteeing safe conditions for the mobility of people and vehicles.
It is necessary to impose traffic and parking restrictions on June 5, from 0:00 to 21:00,” reads the note, which also details the following information below.
- Traffic ban: on Avenida de D. Carlos I, in the section between Rua de D. Luís Filipe and Rua do Passeio Alegre
- No traffic, except loading and unloading and access to garages: Avenida de D. Carlos I, on the stretch between Esplanada do Castelo and Rua de D. Luís Filipe; Rua de D. Luís Filipe, on the stretch between Esplanada do Castelo and Avenida de Carlos I
- Parking for authorized vehicles: Avenida de Carlos I, on both sides, on the stretch between the Esplanada do Castelo and Rua do Passeio Alegre; Rua de D. Luís Filipe, east side, on the stretch between Avenida de D. Carlos I and the Esplanada do Castelo.
