Air Invictus brings back large-scale aerial shows to Greater Porto, filling the skies with airplane races, acrobatics, drones, and model aircraft. With several international Red Bull pilots already confirmed, the event captures the attention of aviation enthusiasts and transforms the banks of the Douro into a true open-air amphitheater.
In addition to the air shows, the program includes a trade fair dedicated to the defense industry at Alfândega do Porto, complemented by concerts and street entertainment. The BABELL festival brings together talents from the world of literature in Porto to mark the 120th anniversary of Livraria Lello and the 25th anniversary of Porto 2001. The beach season is approaching, and the municipality of Porto already has nine beaches awarded the Blue Flag, which certifies the excellence of water quality, safety, and environmental management along the waterfront. Eight of these beaches have also earned the “Gold Quality” seal—Aquário was the only exception, having received the Blue Flag in 2022 and not yet meeting the five-season requirement for this additional award.
In terms of accessibility, the beaches of Homem do Leme and Carneiro stand out, both classified as “Accessible Beaches” to ensure all necessary conditions for people with limited mobility. Nationwide, bathing waters have received 438 certifications this year , preparing the country for another season of safe swimming.
