With the end of summer vacation just around the corner, STCP – Sociedade de Transportes Colectivos do Porto is adjusting its operations throughout the month of September in two distinct phases. The measure aims to address the expected increase in ridership in the coming weeks, particularly on routes serving educational institutions.
Two transition phases in less than two weeks
Starting August 31 (Monday), the “school vacation/summer” schedule will take effect, which means increased service frequency on several lines compared to the schedules in effect during August. The following week, on September 7, the network will switch to the “normal” schedule, with most lines receiving additional service during school start and end times.
With the “regular” schedule taking effect, the additional service on lines serving the beaches will also end. The terminus of Line 200 (Bolhão – Castelo do Queijo) will return to Castelo do Queijo, while Lines 205 (Campanhã – Castelo do Queijo) and 906 (Trindade – Madalena) will cease their weekend service increases.

The complete schedules for all lines are available at bus stops, on the official STCPwebsite, and via Google Maps. To travel, passengers can use the Andante Pass, purchase single-zone tickets for occasional trips, or buy a ticket on board for €2.50.
Payment is accepted via contactless bank card—using a physical device, cell phone, or smartwatch— MBway by scanning the QR code available inside the vehicles, or the Anda app.
STCP provides public bus transportation in the municipality of Porto on an exclusive basis, extending its operations to the municipalities of Gondomar, Matosinhos, Maia, Valongo, and Vila Nova de Gaia.
