News of the inauguration of Christmas activities and attractions is spreading far and wide. After Perlim, in Santa Maria da Feira, this time we take you to the “biggest Christmas tree in the country”, which is just next door to Porto.
From this Friday, November 8, the lights will be switched on at this major attraction in the municipality of Valongo, located in the Parque Urbano de Ermesinde. According to information from the municipality, the inauguration is scheduled for 18:30.
Soon after, at 6.50pm, there will be an ice skating performance. After all, along with the “largest Christmas Tree in the country”, the <shortcode data-tag=”trackLink” 0=”link_url=”https://portosecreto.co/pistas-de-gelo-grande-porto/”<strong>” >Natural Ice Rink also promises to attract the attention of kids and adults alike.
In the center of the municipality, at Praça Machado dos Santos, in Valongo, other highlights are scheduled, such as the inauguration of the Giant Ball and the Christmas lights, starting at 19:30.
The program also includes a musical moment with a concert in Valongo’s Mother Church by the Saint Dominic’s Gospel Choir. It should be noted that the Christmas lights and attractions will remain on until January 5, 2025.
Christmas villages don’t arrive until December
Despite the lights coming on earlier this year, the Christmas Villages won’t arrive in Valongo and Ermesinde until December 6th.
There, children and adults will find Santa’s house, handicrafts, gastronomy, carousels and, of course, lots of entertainment!
