If you’re looking for things to do in May, don’t despair: Porto’s cultural calendar promises events for all tastes and ages, including the now-traditional Electric Car Parade.
Under the theme “The Tram and the People,” the initiative returns to “take over” Porto’s waterfront on Saturday, May 2, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., featuring some of the vehicles that have shaped the city’s history.
Free admission
On May 2, the Electric Tram Museum opens its doors to the public, inviting everyone to celebrate all those who have dedicated their lives over the decades to the trams, from workers to passengers.
Parade Program

This year, the Electric Car Parade places people at the center of the narrative, forging a close link between Porto’s past, present, and future. With actors bringing characters from different eras to life, the Electric Car Parade offers an immersive experience to all participants.
In total, there are three trips included in the initiative’s official program, namely: at 3:00 p.m., with the route Museum – Infante – Museum; at 4:00 p.m., departing from the Museum and passing through Passeio Alegre; and at 5:15 p.m., with a route identical to that of the first trip.
