Depois da pandemia, e retomada a normalidade, os portuenses podem finalmente celebrar devidamente o São João. No rescaldo da noite mais longa do ano, as festas continuam com as tradicionais Rusgas de São João, no dia 2 de julho (sábado), a partir das 17h30.
As ruas do Porto vão encher-se de animação com os elementos coloridos dos vários grupos folclóricos e associações recreativas das freguesias e uniões de freguesias da cidade.
Segundo o site da Ágora – Cultura e Desporto do Município do Porto, o cortejo arrancará em frente ao emblemático Café Majestic (Rua de Santa Catarina) e terminará na Praça do General Humberto Delgado. O percurso passará ainda pelos seguintes pontos: Rua de Fernandes Tomás, Rua da Trindade e Rua do Dr. António Luís Gomes.
Nas últimas quatro edições das típicas Rusgas de São João, a vencedora foi a freguesia de Campanhã. Para a decisão final, os grupos a concurso são avaliados mediante os seguintes elementos: coreografia, cenografia, figurinos e musicalidade. O vencedor do desfile deste ano receberá um troféu desenhado pela artista Madalena Martins.
A saída às ruas do Porto das tradicionais Rusgas de São João provocará alguns condicionamentos de trânsito, os quais podem ser verificados no site da Ágora.
