Porto offers a wide variety of options for those looking for fun and cultural activities with children. But if you’re looking for something different, the Candlelight Porto concerts are an excellent choice for a family outing.
These concerts, held by candlelight, show that even the little ones can enjoy music.
At iconic venues in Porto, such as the Palácio da Bolsa and the Hilton Porto Gaia, there’s certainly a Candlelight concert perfect for the whole family.
SEA LIFE Porto

Near Parque da Cidade, SEA LIFE Porto is a great place to take the kids, whether you live in Porto or are just passing through. After all, it’s the second-largest aquarium in Portugal.
With more than 3,000 creatures living there, the facility features various habitats and attractions, including the underwater tunnel —the first of its kind in the country, holding 500,000 liters of water— the penguins, and much more.

After Funchal, Lisbon, and Portimão, the 3D Fun Art Museum has finally opened its doors in Porto. Since December, you can visit this new 3D museum.
You won’t find famous works of art there, but you will find plenty of fun. With several rooms and over 40 different settings, at the 3D Fun Art Museum nothing is what it seems: you can climb a wall or become a superhero!
Porto Planetarium
The Porto Planetarium is one of those places that promises to leave the kids, literally, among the stars.
If you plan your visit in advance, there are plenty of activities and special programs waiting for the whole family.
A unique program that’s also educational!

If you want to take the kids on a journey back to Prehistory, you’ll be glad to know there’s an immersive exhibition waiting for the little ones (and the whole family). The Dino Experience uses cutting-edge technology to recreate the ecosystem of the lost giants, combining 360° projections, journeys through the metaverse, and augmented reality that lets you explore the very insides of these creatures.
Along the way, visitors traverse Jurassic seas and tropical forests, listen to simulations of the animals’ original sounds, and feel the impact of meteors on the planet through an infinite room. The OCUBO studio produces the visual and interactive experience, while the Lourinhã Museum and the University of Porto’s Museum of Natural History and Science ensure the accuracy and scientific oversight of the entire odyssey.
World of Discoveries Interactive Museum

This is an event that can be interesting for the whole family. At World of Discoveries, you can discover the world through the eyes of Portugal’s greatest explorers.
A unique experience at a themed museum featuring 20 interactive and multisensory installations.

Known as a trampoline paradise, JumpYard has been open in the Matosinhos area since early fall. With about 3,500 m², this venue promises to delight not only kids but also adults.
There, you’ll find dozens of trampolines, an artificial turf field for soccer games, and a KidZone with a 2,000 m² indoor area. This last space, in particular, is designed for children up to 8 years old and features slides, a ball pit, and tunnels, among other attractions.

Bowling is one of the most fun activities you can do, whether with friends or family. So, if you’re looking for something (very) lively to do with the kids, then take them to Sould Park Bowling.
Located in Arrábida Shopping in Gaia, the venue immediately stands out for its neon-filled decor and features various entertainment options, such as an arcade area, stuffed animals, virtual reality simulators, and more.
