Porto is recognized nationally and internationally for the most diverse reasons. Considered the Best Metropolitan Seaside Destination, or even one of the best cities for walking, it has now made a comeback, but for another reason. This is because the Bonfim neighborhood has been considered one of the coolest in the world.
The Porto neighborhood appears in an international ranking by Time Out Global and it’s not the only Portuguese place to be mentioned, since Príncipe Real, in Lisbon, also appears on the list and in a very high profile. In a top ranking that goes from France to Australia, it’s time to find out the first ten places, as well as Bonfim’s position.
What does cool mean?
However, before we go on to share the results, one question needs to be asked: what does cool mean? Generally speaking, it refers to something with a good atmosphere.
So it’s not surprising that the Porto neighborhood was included. Located between Baixa and the eastern part of Invicta, you can find a number of traditional commercial ‘strongholds’ here, as well as new spots that have sprung up.
For example, it’s there that you can find Parque das Águas, Porto dos Gatos (a vegetarian cat café) or even enjoy an excellent meal at Euskalduna (1 Michelin star), etc.
