Porto is a city full of history, monuments and museums. That’s why it’s important to know how the urban space has been shaped over the years. An invitation to (re)discover Invicta with a focus on the local architectural heritage is the motto of the European Heritage Days 2025.
On September 20 and 21 (Saturday and Sunday, respectively), you’ll be able to immerse yourself in a range of themed (and free) activities.
In general, the program includes city tours, commented visits to emblematic buildings and spaces, workshops for families and talks with experts.

What’s going to happen?
If you want to take part, you should know that more information and registration are available on the Porto Museum website. Even so, we’d like to take this opportunity to highlight the calendar of planned activities:
September 20, Saturday:
- 10:30 a.m. – Drift along the Fernandina Wall, from Rua dos Clérigos
- 11 a.m. – Family workshop at the Arqueossítio
- 14h30 – Drift “The Rehabilitation and Revitalization of Morro da Sé”, from Avenida Vimara Peres
- 16h30 – Talk “Dialogues between Architecture and Archaeology: the Hospital of D. Lopo de Almeida”, at the Reservoir
- 21h30 – Night drift “No Morro da Sé – Circuito Noturno”, from the Arqueossítio

September 21st, Sunday:
- 11am – Guided tour of the Old Town Hall
- 11am – “Impressions in the Museum” workshop, at the Materials Bank
- 3pm – Trail dedicated to Arnaldo Gama and the writer’s connection to Guindais and Santa Clara (meeting point at the Church of the Santa Clara Convent)
- 3 p.m. – Trail centered on the dialogue between architecture and archaeology (meeting point at the Arqueossítio)
