Norte Surf Fest
Between September 27th and 29th, Praia Internacional do Porto and Praia de Matosinhos will host the first edition of Norte Surf Fest.
This initiative aims to break a world record by having 500 surfers ‘surf’ a wave simultaneously.
The event program also includes talks with experts, educational activities and a specialized market.

Bang! Festival in Vila Nova de Gaia
The Bang Festival returns for its 4th edition in Vila Nova de Gaia, promising to excite pop culture fans with more than 30 iconic figures.
Admission is free and the event offers a diverse program, including cosplay contests, talks with famous authors, concerts and a DJ set. Highlights include the presence of writer Sherrilyn Kenyon and Bram Stoker’s descendant, Dacre Stoker.

Sounds in Heritage
The Sons no Património concert series is back for its 7th edition, promising to spread a lot of (good) music throughout the Porto Metropolitan Area between September 27 and November 16.
As in previous years, the musical event covers 17 municipalities and includes a wide variety of styles. One of its main characteristics is that it always takes place in places of high heritage value.
For example, the 2024 edition will kick off in the famous Santa Maria da Feira Castle with Bandua. However, other venues and artists will follow. Access is free.

“The Witches of Salem”
For this to literally be a guide to activities for all tastes, a mention of theater couldn’t be missing. That’s why it’s worth highlighting the return of the play “The Witches of Salem”, directed by Nuno Cardoso , to the stage of the Teatro Nacional São João.
This production fits in with the Halloween theme, albeit in anticipation. Based on the work of Arthur Miller, the play explores the persecution of the Salem witches (in the 17th century) and offers a reflection on Macarthyism in the U.S. Tickets cost between €7.50 and €16.
