Attention, foodies and chocolate nuts, from February 1 to 16, all roads lead to the city of Matosinhos. Why? Well, the Chocolate Festival is back with lots of flavors and more. Admission is free. But shall we find out more?
Bonbons, bars, brigadeiros, bombocas and, of course, hot chocolate are just some of the delicacies that promise to warm up these cold days. However, there are other options waiting for you among the more than 20 exhibitors taking part in the initiative.
In order to guarantee the necessary conditions, the event’s organizers, the Matosinhos City Council (CMM) in partnership with Andarte – National Association for the Development of Handicrafts, chose to install an air-conditioned tent next to the local PSP.

Children’s workshops
According to the CMMwebsite, one of the highlights of the program is the children’s workshops held during the weekends when the Chocolate Festival takes place, at 11:30 am.
These sessions also include the reading of a story and the preparation of a delicious recipe. However, it should be noted that participation in the workshops requires compulsory registration at andarte2008@gmail.com.
