After the excesses of the festive season and the return to routine, one of the resolutions of many Portuguese is probably to adopt and/or return to healthier and ‘fitter’ habits. After all, physical exercise is an essential pillar for well-being and a better quality of life.
In this scenario, which are the fittest cities in Portugal? This was precisely the question posed by Holidu, a vacation home booking portal, in order to find out where fitness dominates. Three cities in Greater Porto appear in the top 10. Shall we find out?

The methodology used by Holidu

- Gyms: the number shown on Google Maps
- Fast food restaurants: the number of facilities with the category ‘fast food’ and fast food restaurants.
