The pursuit of an active and healthy lifestyle is increasingly the order of the day… and there’s no shortage of gyms in Porto where you can train and get fit. There are several fitness centers all over the city, some of which have saunas, indoor swimming pools and much more.

1 – Holmes Place Boavista
This is a chain of premium gyms, with several clubs all over the country, from north to south. Located in the Boavista area, Holmes Place is a good option for those looking for something very complete.
The facilities include a gym, jacuzzi, swimming pool, spa and sauna, not forgetting the possibility of physiotherapy and nutritional support.
From Monday to Friday the opening hours are from 7:00 to 22:00; on Saturdays from 8:00 to 19:00; and on Sundays from 9:00 to 18:00.

2 – CR7 Fitness By Crunch
Did you know that the famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has his own brand of gyms? It’s true! And you can train there. At the moment, CR7 Fitness Crunch is in the municipalities of Porto and Matosinhos.
At the Prelada club, another of the gyms in Porto, there’s plenty of space and several machines available. You can also opt for group classes in pilates, yoga, jump and more.
It’s not too expensive, and there are three access options: the cheapest (with limited hours) costs €27.99, with no loyalty.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 6.30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

3 – Solinca
With several clubs in the city and even in Greater Porto (including Gaia, Maia, Matosinhos, among other areas), this is one of the best-known gym groups in Portugal.
You can train alone, motivate yourself with group classes, or invest in personalized support. In any case, this is a good option for those looking for water aerobics experiences, for example.
