In June, the city of Porto is filled with countless parties and celebrations— after all, this is the month of São João.
In the meantime, you can have a blast at another edition of the Primavera Sound Porto festival, June 11–14, at Parque da Cidade.
This year, Primavera Sound Porto is seeing high demand. As a result, day passes for June 12 and general admission passes are already sold out. But don’t despair— you can still buy tickets for June 11, 13, and 14 through the Fever platform.
We’d like to remind you that day passes for the 11th and 13th cost €75, while the price for the 14th is €40. Once you have your ticket, remember that you must present it at the venue entrance and exchange it for a wristband, which allows you to enter and exit throughout the day.
Plan your visit to Primavera Sound Porto

Now that you’ve secured the essentials—that is, your one-day ticket and/or festival pass— it’s time to plan your visit. After all, with a stellar lineup featuring acts like The xx, Gorillaz, Massive Attack, and IDLES, it’s hard to catch everything.
So, we recommend reading this article with the schedules for all concerts across the four stages—Porto, Vodafone, Revolut, and Super Bock. Also note that gates open at 3:30 PM from June 11 to 13. On the final day, June 14, the venue opens at 2:00 PM.
Another important tip that couldn’t be left out of this ‘survival guide’ is to download the festival’s official app, available for Android and iOS. It’s free to download and gives you access to real-time information about any last-minute changes, etc.
What to bring and what to leave at home

To make the most of the experience, there are a few key things to consider, such as what to bring (and what you should definitely leave at home). For example, to start with, it’s essential to bring comfortable clothes and shoes.
Another essential item in your “survival” kit is a jacket and/or blanket; this is because nights in Porto can get quite chilly, even in June.
You may bring small backpacks, 50 cl bottles of water without caps, and an official or personal cup (40 cl capacity) into the venue. On the other hand, certain items are strictly prohibited, such as:
- Large bags
- Bottles
- Cans
- Drones
- Sprays
- Dangerous objects.
Travel on STCP buses

According to the official STCPwebsite, several regular routes will be reinforced to meet the high demand associated with Primavera Sound Porto. And these are the lines to keep in mind when heading to the festival:
200 – this route will be extended to the Anémona roundabout, starting at 4 p.m.
205, 500, and 502 – stop near the venue, at Praça Cidade Salvador; and service will be increased during the festival
1M – trips between the Anémona roundabout and downtown Porto every 15 minutes
When it’s time to head back, here are the times you won’t want to miss:
June 11, 12, and 13: Shuttles will run between Rotunda da Anémona (Praça Cidade Salvador) and Aliados every ten minutes until 4 a.m. On the festival’s final day, June 14, the service will run until midnight.
Primavera Sound Porto – Campanhã Intermodal Terminal with departures every 22 minutes, available until 4 a.m. on the early mornings of June 11, 12, and 13. On the 14th, the connection can be made via line 205.
Getting around on the Porto Metro

The Porto Metro is always an option to consider for those who appreciate the affordable prices of public transportation, so the same applies to Primavera Sound Porto.
During the festival, service will be extended on the Blue Line (A) until 2:30 a.m. on the nights of June 11–12, June 12–13, and June 13–14, in both directions on the Senhor de Matosinhos–Trindade route . Finally, on the last day of the event, service will end at the usual time, that is, at 1 a.m.
Cycle to the festival

Another equally valid travel option is to bike to Parque da Cidade, since it’s accessible via bike paths and has a Bike Park right at the entrance.

With all these tips, you have everything you need to make the most of the festival experience .
So, relax and have the time of your life, taking the chance to explore Porto City Park a bit between concerts, or even take a stroll along the waterfront. After all, the Atlantic is right there.
