They say this is the “only musical on ice in the north of Portugal” and it’s about to ‘invade’ Mar Shopping Matosinhos, in Greater Porto, with magic, live music, dancing and much more. “The Little Mermaid on Ice” will be on stage from November 15 to January 4, 2026, in a seasonal show produced by AM Live.
After successes such as “Nutcracker and the Kingdom of Ice” and “Aladdin on Ice”, AM Live returns with an exclusive production featuring several well-known faces. Isabela Valadeiro brings Ariel to life, Paulo Vintém is Triton (the great king of the seas) and Mimicat takes on the role of Morgana, the terrible Sea Witch.
What to expect from “The Little Mermaid on Ice”?
This is an adaptation of a classic story adapted to ice, which also stands out for its powerful message: the need to protect the oceans.
But how does it all begin? According to the synopsis, “during a snowstorm, Prince Eduard ventures onto fragile sheets of ice and falls into the water, only to be saved by the Little Mermaid, with whom he falls in love”.
From that moment on, the motto is set: love, desires and adversity emerge in the narrative. Ariel, the Little Mermaid, decides to make a pact with the Sea Witch to become human. However, not everything goes according to plan. A journey of courage and determination, set against the backdrop of the magic of the sea.
