Smiles, lights and lots of fun, Greater Porto is getting ready to embrace the most magical time of the year. After the flood of people who gathered to watch the light show at the Marcolino store in Invicta, there is now another event to highlight on the agenda: the return of Gaia Vila Natal.
According to the official website of the Vila Nova de Gaia City Council (CMVNG), the Civic Center and the Square at the back of the Paços do Concelho building will be the epicenter of the celebrations. From November 29 to December 28, lots of free entertainment promises to attract kids and adults alike.
This year’s grand opening features a very special moment: a special Christmas concert by singer Aurea, on the evening of November 29 at 21:30. However, this will be just one of many shows planned to liven up the Christmas season.
What can you see at Gaia Vila Natal?

Santa‘s House, where the white-bearded old man takes pictures with the children, is one of the highlights of the Gaia Vila Natal program. However, other classics have not been left out, such as the traditional French Carousel, the fun Christmas Train and, of course, the refreshing ice rink.
All of these rides are free of charge. In addition, to continue cultivating the ability to dream in the little ones, there is also Story Time, with magical narratives perfect for warming children’s hearts. For adults, the Christmas Market is a must.
