Pastéis de nata are a must for locals and tourists alike. And now they’ve just gained a new home in the heart of downtown Porto, on Rua de Santa Catarina, with the opening of Manteigaria’s third store in the city.
Eight years after making its debut in the city, there’s another Manteigaria bell ringing, warning whenever there’s a new batch of delicious pastéis de nata coming out.
At number 357 of the emblematic Porto street, there are several seats where you can enjoy the pastel de nata, accompanied by the typical coffee, Port wine and/or other drinks.
If you’re in a hurry, you can always take them home to eat or even give them away, in the traditional boxes of two or six. It should be noted that, to celebrate its expansion in Porto, there is a box alluding to the city.
Where can I try Manteigaria’s pastéis de nata?
As well as the new store in Rua de Santa Catarina, the brand has spaces in Rua dos Clérigos and Bolhão, all three in Porto.
There are ten factories in Lisbon, one in Braga, two in Paris (France), one in Madrid (Spain) and another in Macau.
