It’s time to say “goodbye” to 2025 and “hello” to 2026. For those who want to celebrate on Avenida dos Aliados, there are several recommendations to take into account in terms of safety and mobility, but also plenty of entertainment from Clã, Nininho Vaz Maia and more. However, this isn’t the only free street party in Greater Porto.
In Maia, for example, the meeting point is Praça Dr. José Vieira de Carvalho, where the celebrations kick off at 22:30 with Miguel Araújo. However, the program isn’t limited to music, and one of the main attractions is the fireworks and the “Faça-se Luz!” show.
According to a press release from Visit Maia, this is “a luminous performance that marks the turn of the year; a grandiose spectacle, where lasers and pyrotechnics come together in a celebration to the sound of A Sky Full of Stars, Stargazing and other emblematic themes”.
In addition, the New Year’s Eve party program in Maia includes another musical moment. Just after midnight, Carolina Torres will join the party as a DJ.
