From October 2 to 5, Oktoberfest in Gaia offers four days of authentic celebration with German beer and cuisine

Bavaria is temporarily moving to Gaia. From October 2 to 5, WOW will host another edition of Oktoberfest, bringing the festive and relaxed atmosphere of Germany’s most famous celebration to the historic center of Vila Nova de Gaia.

Lemon Plaza and the Street Market are the festival’s main venues, designed for those who enjoy beer, good food, and sharing a table with loved ones. The event is organized in partnership with Erdinger, DCN Beers, and UDO.

Erdinger is at the heart of the festival—literally. Admission is free, and anyone who wants to dive right in from the start can purchase a drink ticket for €12, which includes a 50-cl Erdinger glass mug and an Erdinger Oktoberfest beer.

The cuisine is also fit for the occasion. The menu draws inspiration from Bavarian traditions with pretzels, bratwurst, weisswurst, käsekrainer, and leberkäse, accompanied by sauerkraut, spätzle, and red cabbage. For dessert, the classic apfelstrudel rounds out the meal as tradition dictates.

In addition to food and beer, there will be music and themed entertainment throughout the four days. The music lineup will be announced soon.

WOW is Greater Porto’s entertainment district , housed in the former Port wine cellars, featuring six museums, restaurants, shops, and event spaces across an area of 55,000 square meters.
