After months of expectations and a few delays, the moment has arrived: there is now an opening date for the Feiródromo de Campanhã, in the eastern part of the city. According to the Porto City Council (CMP) news portal, the new ‘home’ of Invicta’s main fairs will open its doors on July 12.
The result of a municipal investment of more than 800,000 euros, the CMP is now looking for a new name to give the place. To do so, you can vote using this online questionnaire, choosing one of the following four options:
- Nasoni Market
- Vandoma Square
- Ponto das Feiras
- Campanhã Fairground
What to expect from the Campanhã Fairground?
The new space will host some of Porto’s most emblematic fairs, such as those in Vandoma and Cerco. That’s why the investment in building this space is aimed at commercial development.
In this context, the Feiródromo, located near the Nasoni metro station, will have some of the following features:
- 152 stalls
- Sanitary facilities
- Public lighting
- Infrastructures such as electricity, water supply, urban solid waste management systems, etc.
