The Rose Garden is one of the best-known areas of the Crystal Palace Gardens, which in turn are on the list of the best in the world. So here’s good news for anyone who enjoys a walk in the fresh air, even on colder days: the renovated Jardim do Roseiral has reopened.
According to a press release from Porto City Council sent to the Porto Secreto newsroom, the intervention targeted the following points:
- Rehabilitation of the paving, drainage system, walls and pergolas
- Restoration of the Pelican Fountain
- Redefining the flowerbeds, among others.
In addition, according to the same source, occasional topiary elements were also introduced to restore the original image of this green space. In all, the work represented an investment of 158 thousand euros.
