The season for outdoor activities has officially arrived, whether it’s movie screenings or concerts. So it’s no surprise that the number of cultural initiatives is growing rapidly, such as the Sons do Cais event in Vila Nova de Gaia.
According to Jornal de Notícias, the event already has two major confirmations: a performance by the British band The Vaccines on June 20; and a concert by Rui Veloso the following day. In addition, the program also includes a DJ set by the duo Kruder & Dorfmeister.

Organized by the Vila Nova de Gaia City Council and Ritmos—the organization behind the Vodafone Paredes de Coura festival—these concerts, part of Sons do Cais, are free to attend, with the surrounding setting— the Douro riverfront—being a particular highlight .
It is also worth noting that these shows are linked to “Air Invictus” —an event filled with aerial acrobatics that promises to take over the skies of Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto, with activities also taking place in Matosinhos and Maia.
