Strawberries are associated with romance and seduction… and even before Valentine’s Day, this fruit is coming to Porto in a very Instagrammable form, thanks to the opening of the first of three La Fresería stores in the city.
After Aveiro and Lisbon, the Spanish brand is now preparing to conquer Porto, setting up shop on one of the city’s main thoroughfares— Rua de Santa Catarina. Starting on Saturday, February 7, fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate will be a reality.
What is so special about La Fresería?
La Fresería was born in Madrid (Spain) in 2022 , based on a simple but delicious concept: take a classic product, the strawberry, and transform it into a tasty experience that is both visual and fun.
Long lines and numerous posts on social media make this a true phenomenon. But what is so special about these strawberries? With toppings prepared in-store and countless choices, there is a veritable “rain” of flavors.
Hazelnut chocolate, Lotus Biscoff sauce, special edition Dubai chocolate, and condensed milk cream are just some of the public’s favorites, who can choose from the following sizes: small (€4.50), medium (€6.50), and XL (€15.90).
Other useful information
The first of three La Fresería stores planned for Porto will open on February 7, but with special opening hours on that day, from 3 p.m. to midnight. On other days, it will be open Monday to Thursday from noon to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
