Oktoberfest returns to the Bom Sucesso Market with six days of festivities, pork knuckle, and mugs for €5.50

After a well-received first edition, the Mercado Bom Sucesso Oktoberfest is back—and with even more energy. For six days, from September 22 to 27, the area next to the Boavista Roundabout will host a German-inspired celebration featuring beer, food, live music, and DJ sets every night, starting at 5:00 p.m.

The beer is Erdinger, available in two varieties— Erdinger Oktoberfest and Erdinger Brauhaus Helles —served in the traditional Oktoberfest stein for €5.50. Anyone who wants to watch the keg-opening ritual can do so on September 22 at 7:00 p.m. or on Saturday, September 26, at 6:15 p.m.

The culinary offerings are spread across the market’s various restaurants, with dishes designed specifically for the occasion. For savory options, there’s Currywurst at DOGG (€5) and at O Forno do Mercado; pretzels at Chocolate Rosa (€3); Wiener Schnitzel at Rissol do Mercado (starting at €4.50); and Brathendl —roast chicken—at Galinha do Mercado (€10.90).

Sal & Pimenta is serving pork knuckle (€12.45), Mit Rösti is featuring Rösti Pulled Pork à la Oktoberfest (€11.90), and Neuza’s Piadinas are joining the party with a piadina filled with German sausage and cabbage sauce (€10.95).

For desserts, Comchá serves the classic Apfelstrudel (€2.80), and Maria Croissant offers an apple-cinnamon croissant. Munchie The Burger Kitchen is offering the Oktoberfest Burger for €9.50, with fries included.

The musical lineup includes bands and DJ sets every night, featuring acts such as Urban Band (on the 25th), The Royal Band (on the 26th), and DJ sets by Kiko Sá, Francisco Praia, and Ricardo Valgode on the remaining days.

On the first day, between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., artist Rute Miriam will be on hand to personalize and engrave names or phrases on beer mugs on the spot—an experience that lets you take a souvenir of the festival home.

The event takes place Monday through Thursday and on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with extended hours until midnight on Friday and Saturday. The Mercado Bom Sucesso Oktoberfest is held in partnership with Beer Kingdom and DCN Beers, the official representative of Erdinger in Portugal.
